Transmission Structure Inspection Review

project details
Each year, RLC Engineering supports one of its major utility clients by conducting a Structure Photo Review Analysis. The client designates selected transmission lines within its network for inspection. Using photographic data collected through both aerial and ground-based methods, each transmission structure is initially assigned a rating based on observed field conditions.
RLC performs a secondary review of the photographic records to validate field-identified issues and identify any additional deficiencies not originally noted. Based on this review, RLC either confirms the initial rating or assigns a revised rating to reflect the complete set of identified issues.
In total, 17,015 field-identified issues within the client’s transmission system were reviewed. Through RLC’s detailed evaluation process, 2,253 additional issues were identified.
Overall, 12,090 structures across 503 transmission lines were reviewed.
